Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Baumi Ventures Inc. ("Baumi", "we", "us", or "our") provides Sippo, a digital menu and display platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use the Sippo website at sippo.io, the Sippo web application, the Sippo mobile application, public menus and pages powered by Sippo, and related support and services (collectively, the "Service").
Baumi Ventures Inc. is responsible for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy. If you use Sippo through a business or other organization, that organization may also control the information it submits to the Service and may have its own privacy obligations and policies.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: your name, email address, password, organization or business name, user role, and the business locations you are permitted to access.
- Business profile and location information: business contact information, address, website, social media handles, logo, branding preferences, and geographic coordinates derived from a business address for features such as time zone selection. This is information about a business location, not the precise location of your mobile device.
- Content: menus, categories, products, prices, descriptions, availability, images, links, events, display configurations, and other material that you or your organization submit to Sippo. Some of this content is intended to be published on public Sippo pages or displays.
- Billing information: subscription plan, billing status, transaction history, and identifiers supplied by our payment processor. Payment card and bank details are collected and processed by Stripe; we do not store complete payment card or bank account numbers.
- Communications: information you include in support requests, chats, feedback, surveys, emails, or other communications with us.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, we and our service providers may automatically receive technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages or features used, public-menu visits, dates and times of access, session information, and error or diagnostic data. We use cookies and similar technologies on the website for sign-in, security, preferences, analytics, and Service operation. For more information, see “Cookies and Analytics” below.
Information collected through the mobile application
The Sippo mobile application uses your existing Sippo account. Changes you make in the app, such as updating whether a menu item is in stock, are sent to Sippo and associated with your account and organization.
The current Sippo mobile application does not request access to your device’s precise location, camera, photo library, contacts, microphone, or advertising identifier. We do not use information from the mobile application to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.
Information from other sources
We may receive information about you from your organization, such as when an administrator creates or invites you to an account or assigns you access to business locations. If you choose to connect Sippo with a third-party integration, we may exchange information with that provider as authorized by you or your organization and as needed to operate the integration.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- create and administer accounts, authenticate users, manage sessions, and provide access to authorized organizations and business locations;
- publish content that you or your organization choose to make public;
- process subscriptions and payments;
- communicate about accounts, transactions, security, product updates, and support requests;
- personalize the Service and understand how it is used;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms;
- comply with law and protect our rights, users, and the public; and
- create aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information as necessary to perform our contract with you, based on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, with your consent, or to comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: to vendors that help us provide hosting, storage and backups, payment processing, transactional email, customer support, feedback tools, analytics, mapping, error monitoring, security, and other infrastructure. These currently include providers such as Amazon Web Services, Stripe, Postmark, Intercom, Canny, Google, and Sentry.
- Your organization: to the administrators and authorized users of the organization or business account through which you use Sippo. They may manage your access and see activity and content associated with their account.
- Public content: when you or your organization choose to publish menus, business details, events, images, social links, or other content through public Sippo pages, embeds, displays, or shareable links.
- Integrations: to a third-party service when you or your organization enable an integration or direct us to share information with it.
- Legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a lawful request; enforce our agreements; or protect the rights, property, and safety of Baumi, our users, or others.
- Business transactions: in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and privacy safeguards.
- With consent: for another purpose that we explain when asking for your consent.
We do not sell personal information. We require service providers that process personal information for us to use it only for authorized purposes and to provide protections appropriate to the information.
4. Cookies and Analytics
Sippo uses essential cookies to keep you signed in, maintain sessions, remember preferences, and protect the Service. We may also use analytics cookies and technologies, including Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager, to understand website use and improve the Service. Our support and feedback tools may set their own cookies when enabled.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where displayed, our cookie notice. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other parts of the Service from working. Browser privacy controls do not affect the secure session credentials stored by the mobile application in Apple’s Keychain; signing out of the app removes those credentials from the app.
5. Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including while an account is active, and as needed to provide the Service, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and why we hold it.
When information is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it, subject to backup cycles and legal requirements. Public content may remain available until you or your organization removes it or the relevant account is closed. Deleting the mobile application does not delete the Sippo account or server-side information. To request account or personal-information deletion, contact us as described below. We may need to verify your identity and consult the organization that controls your account before completing a request.
6. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain processing, request deletion or portability, or complain to a privacy regulator. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions.
You can update certain profile and business information in Sippo. You can stop mobile access by signing out, which revokes the app session and removes its credentials from the device. You may also manage website cookies through your browser. To exercise another privacy right, email [email protected]. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and authority.
7. International Processing
Baumi is based in Canada, and we and our service providers may process and store personal information in Canada, the United States, and other countries. As a result, information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, or government authorities in accordance with applicable law.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, taking into account its sensitivity. These include access controls, encrypted network connections, secure mobile credential storage, and limiting the payment information handled by our systems. No security measure or method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Sippo, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may link to or integrate with websites and services that Baumi does not control. Their handling of personal information is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information to them.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version at sippo.io/privacy-policy and revise the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate or required by law.
